The Irwin Cotler Fellowship Program at Tel Aviv University (TAU) is intended to inform the best and brightest of TAU’s international students about the modern history of the Jewish people, the Zionist movement, the state of Israel, and the diversity of Israeli society; to acquaint them with the historical and human landscapes of the country through field trips; to instruct them about the roots of antisemitism and other forms of racism, their present-day manifestations, and the means to fight those manifestations; to familiarize them with concepts, narratives, and icons of human rights; and to equip them with public speaking and grassroots organizational skills so that they can deliver workshops in their language in their home countries.

Participants are exposed to a variety of points of view and encouraged to explore the issues studied independently and critically.
